Innovatively engineered tools to solve complex problems
We have three purpose-built tools designed for three unique lifting scenarios, the common denominator across the tools is the use of the same lifting arrangement which is patent protected.
The Mega-Pipe Lifter is our heavy lift tool for larger single or multiple industrial pipes. It lifts 44,000 lbs (20 tons) or more from a single support beam.
The Multi-Pipe Lifter is our medium-lift tool. It can lift 22,000 lbs (10 tons) or more from a single support beam.
our tools are a key component of our lifting solution
We work with your plant maintenance contractor to engineer a safe lifting solution, providing access to multiple work areas whilst the lines are in-service. Models of allowable stress profiles per line and plans for the number and positioning of lifting devices are developed. The result is a safe vertical displacement of single or multiple product lines for access to perform both inspections and maintenance.
Our systems achieve lifting heights up to 4 inches, sufficient to perform all inspections (NDE & visual) as well as maintenance or improvements. The initial break-away lift can be done remotely using hydraulic rams to avoid personnel exposure in suspect contact areas. Mechanical lifting follows the initial breakaway. The lift is then vertically secured by a double lock-out system, which is then declared a temporarily supported load (and not a suspended load), therefore safe to work beneath.
The Lifting Study:
Determines the Weight to be lifted.
Develops a Stress Curve of each Pipeline.
Supplies a drawing for the Position of each Jack.
Specifies Movement-Control on lifted Equipment.
Declares the Structure Safe for lifting.
The Jacks are tested and accredited with SANS (South African National Standards) and other certification standards are being investigated.
